This rescue dog is her human baby’s favorite nap buddy

Nora the English Pointer was adopted by a couple 7 years ago. At the time, they did not have children but knew they would someday, and they’d need a dog who’d be a wonderful companion for the whole family.

“Despite having come from an abusive situation her sweet and gentle nature shone through and we knew with certainty she would be a wonderful family dog when the time came. She absolutely did not disappoint!” wrote Elizabeth Spence on Bored Panda.

Now, their family has grown exponentially and includes 3 kids, 3 rescue dogs, and 3 cats!

“Nora gets along famously with all of them, particularly our youngest son, eight-month-old Archie,” Spence said in the story.

They are so sweet together that the proud mom began taking photos of Nora and Archie’s naps, which of course, are supervised. (Note: small children and dogs should never be alone together without supervision.) The result? An absolutely adorable collection of snuggly photos!

“I recently began photographing their daily exploits, notably their supervised communal naps, and posting them to my Instagram account to show what amazing pets most rescue animals are and to encourage others to consider giving them a chance at love, too,” Spence wrote on Bored Panda.

“Remington and Nora worked double duty this morning to help an uncharacteristically grouchy Archie through a rough teething patch. He’s such a lucky boy!” reads the picture’s caption.

Remington also likes to steal a snuggles.

And of course, there’s plenty of play when they’re awake!
